Since my last post on this topic, things have certainly moved on…
There will be an article in the Mail on Sunday on February 16 2016 and another one in the Sun on February 18. As a result of our pioneering work, we are collaborating with Louise Mazanti and Mike Lousada. They have a well-established clinic in London specializing in Psychosexual Somatics. They have set up a clinic at the Spire Southampton Hospital which will bring their expertise into a hospital environment. This unique clinic will provide information and treatment for people with all kinds of medical and surgical conditions. For example if you’ve had a heart attack, you and your partner might well be very worried about having sex. Similarly, people who have cancer, or who have had a surgical procedure might want help with real or perceived sexual problems.
We hope that with Louise and Mike’s help we will be able to recruit more people into our study so that we have the evidence available to us to publish our guide to patients with hip problems. We will also be looking at setting up similar studies in people with knee and spinal problems.
If you would like to discuss your hip problems, please get in touch.
