There are plenty of othopaedic surgeons who do hip surgery, so what makes me different? Well, I’ve been doing only hip surgery for 20 years, and I’ve done more than 4000 operations, so I do have a lot of experience! If you choose me for your hip surgery, you will receive a thorough clinical assessment, an accurate diagnosis and honest, objective advice on what treatment is best for you. Sometimes, that might be as simple as losing some weight, slowing down and taking painkillers.
If you need surgery, I will discuss with you all of the options that are avialable and the risks and benefits of each of them. If I think that you might need something extra like the Optimized Positioning System, or the Mako Robot, then I will tell you everything you need to know so that you can make an informed decision. I’m not tied to a particular device manufacturer, and my advice is always impartial and objective. I use implants that have excellent long-term results, and in which I have extensive knowledge and experience.
Lots of my patients tell me that they appreciate and feel reassured by my enthusiasm, compassion and the way that I deal with them and their concerns. If there’s a problem I am always available to give approporiate advice and deal with it quickly and effectively. I feel very fortunate to be able to do one of the best operations in the history of surgery!
I don’t work in isolation, and have a wonderful team of colleagues, nurses, physios and secretaries who support me and share my uncompromising values.
If this sounds like the sort of care that you are looking for, please get in touch.
